Springtime In New York

Snow falling sideways
Ice bars outside my window
Wind bitterly cries
As winter mocks springs first day
Here in the Catskill mountains-

Shooting stars ablaze
Burn until they reach nights edge
Softly they will fall
Locked inside remains star light
While their sleep forever more-

Saying Goodbye

Carefully I walk
Trying so hard to be brave
They all see my fear
Dark glasses cover their eyes
As mine flow over with tears-
