Whispered goodbyes
linger long on mournful lips,
as sorrow dwells behind
closed eyes. Puddles form around
this weary face, streaming out
from unceasing cries.
Angels gather with
blankets of warm love
to comfort and quiet
a child of God; soothing away
breathless gasps and heaving chest,
in this the darkest hour.
Death passes through
resting a heavy hand
on the grief stricken tender heart.
As time vanishes quickly in heavens
welcoming light, another soul
returns home apart-

of this light in my eyes
white, with a ring of soft purple
thin threads of silken rays
weaving into a carm frigid blue
The sky a changing swirl
of rainbow colors dance
reflecting in your ocean eyes
the softness of your breath
felt within this living dream
Tell me why did you leave
how cold I began to feel
and the dark soon after
seemed to seep in quickly
from everywhere
I waited for you
from inside--the view was endless
heard your words singing
throughout the dark rains
telling me you will be there
Do you remember when
the bubble slowly dissolved
a fine mist kissed our face
as a tingle of laughter
still can be tasted on my tongue
