Voice Mail

Allows customer to send, listen to, and save messages from callers, and reply or send messages to others on the system. Can be done with a single call from any touch-tone phone, 24 hours a day.

Call Waiting

A beep signal is heard to indicate to the customer already engaged in a telephone conversation that second caller is attempting to dial in. Allows the customer to put the first caller on hold and answer the second line. The customer can alternate between callers if so desired.

Wake-Up Service (Reminder Service)

Customer dials an access code, receives a second dial tone and enters a desired time. At the entered time, a call is automatically placed to customer's phone. Time entered in 24-hour format (e.g., 6:30 pm is 1830). Customer can cancel or change the preset time once it is entered.

Automatic Redial

Automatic Redial allows you to automatically redial the most recent outgoing call. By activating a code, your telephone will automatically call the last person you called.

We have included a bonus feature as an add-on to this feature. If the line you are attempting is busy, the network will automatically attempt (for 30 minutes) to complete the call. Once the line is no longer busy, a distinctive ringing signal alerts you that the call can be completed.

When you pick your phone up after this ring signal, the call is automatically placed to the person you are calling. Please note: you will still be able to place and receive regular calls while the busy line is monitored.

Call Return allows you to automatically return the most recent incoming call, even if you didn't answer the call. By activating a code, your phone will automatically call the last number that called you, even if you missed the call.

MIDTEL Wins Additional $6.8M With Second Rural Broadband Grant Award

MIDTEL has received a second grant award of $6.8M from the New NY Broadband Grant Program. This grant will bring fiber optic based broadband services with up to 1Gbps in speed to nearly 1600 additional homes and businesses in the towns of Blenheim, Broome, Carlisle, Cobleskill, Conesville, Fulton, Gilboa, Jefferson, Middleburgh, Richmondville, Schoharie, Summit and Wright. Combined with MIDTEL’s private investment, this project totals $8.5M in infrastructure improvements. In total between MIDTEL’s two grant projects, over $15.5M will be invested in fiber optic infrastructure in Schoharie County.
