Hi again, I had taken a little brake from drawing and recently started back up again. This is a commission I am presently working on (8-12-08). The size is 11 x 14 inches and it's on Smooth Bristol. I have been using a 3b mechanical pencil, 3b, and H pencils, plain tissue(TP), small and large blending stumps and a kneaded eraser. The adorable little girl is 99% done, I am still working slowly on her lovely mom. To render black hair I need to put down a few layers of 3b. Once finished I will place the drawing here along with close-up images. Thanks for stopping in!

I started work on this one 2-10-08, it's the latest in a series of Clay Aiken portraits and I think it's turning out very good. While drawing this one I filmed a few areas to show how I draw, you can view the videos below. Hi, I have been busy with a few drawings, this is my latest a portrait of the beautiful Marilyn Monroe, I wanted to do a big close up and give her a soft dreamy look full of light. The portrait is 18 x 24 inches, drawn on Smooth Bristol using mostly a 3b Mechanical pencil, B and little H Graphite. I blended the tones with plain tissue and a blending stick/stump. Marilyn has been a favorite of mine for many years, this is I believe the 10th portrait and since I like the look of this one I plan to display it in my home along with other favorites.
